What’s your love story, how did you meet?
We met at uni when we were both studying a masters in Archaeology at Sheffield University. Then we went on excavation together and have been together ever since.
How did you get engaged/proposal?
We secretly got married 7 years ago to ensure courts grandad would walk her down the aisle. This was a small secret wedding with close family but always new we wanted to later on get publicly engaged and married so we could celebrated with all our friends. The wedding date is exactly 7 years from our first wedding.
Martin proposed at chatsworth House in the woods and nearly dropped the ring down the cliff side with our dogs Loki and Thor.
Why did you choose your venue?
It’s a favourite spot we take the dogs for a walk.
What’s the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
DIY, shop local and charity shop and mainly everyone have a good laugh.
Is there anything special at your wedding that you’ve included and why?
The grand reveal of our 7 year secret marriage. The readings are the same as the ones from our first wedding.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Finally celebrating our wonderful marriage....and the cheese tower...and the Ceilidh...and the pork pie tower!
Any future advice for Brides/Grooms planning their day?
Make the day as a team. Learn to use excel. Buy a decent label maker. Remember the day is about the 2 of you don’t let others interfere. No one remembers the table decorations they just remember the fun.
