Wow! What an amazing wedding day! Set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside on their grandparent's farm it was the perfect day even if the great British weather decided to throw almost every season into one day! A day fill with so much love, laughter, crazy dancing, dogs and amazing local food and drink!
What’s your love story, how did you meet?
Our mutual friends tried setting us up but we were having none of it! Few weeks later we matched on tinder, got chatting about common interests (farming) & the rest is history! Moved in together within 6 months.
How did you get engaged/proposal?
It was a typical Saturday afternoon, Jack is the Assistant Farm Manager at Chatsworth and he said he had had a call saying there was a poorly sheep in Chatsworth parks so off we went looking for the sheep. Couldn’t find it and then he asked me to go walk and check an area so I got out of the pick up and then he also did and he got down on one knee with Chatsworth house in the background. Afterwards we sat on the back of the pick up with our two border collies and had a glass of champagne. Perfect.
Why did you choose your venue?
I always knew I wanted to get married at my local church as it is beautiful and my parents were married there. And we both love a marquee wedding! It gives so much flexibility and very private.
What’s the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Just very us really! No clear style apart form clean & modern with a lot of farming related decorations!
Is there anything special at your wedding that you’ve included and why?
- Young Farmers Guard of honour when we walk out of church
- Drawings of our two dogs on the table name cards
- Table plan
- I have handmade the aprons that people wear to carve the beef
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Everything – just really excited for once we have said our vows and being sat in marquee looking at everyone who is here to celebrate our special day.
Any future advice for Brides/Grooms planning their day?
Create a wedding specific email address before you have even contacted your first supplier. I wish I had done this as I did it for invite replies and it worked so well.
