I have some many favourite venues in and around Derbyshire and The Peak District. It is truly a beautiful part of the UK with lots of amazing wedding venues. I love them all but these venues make me warm and glowy with excitement when couples tell me its where they have booked their wedding day.
Hotel Van Dyk
I have an absolute soft spot for this venue as it is where my business story began so for this reason I will always love it. It’s a beautiful building, with amazing grounds, fabulous and attentive staff and food is the best for miles around. The biggest plus for Van Dyk is that at the moment it is heavily investing in its property towards the luxury end of the wedding market which I’m sure will place it as the number 1 go to dedicated wedding venue in this area very soon.
Cressbrook Hall
Fancy your own beautiful hall overlooking the stunning hills of The Peak District? If yes, then you’ll love Cressbrook Hall. It has a Downtown Abbey feel, is very private (at the end of a very long country lane) and a wonderful feeling of grandeur. They do their own food but also allow outside catering as well. A stunning venue and definitely one of my favourites.
Fischers of Baslow
Very exclusive and well known in this area as one of the best places to eat. It is a small venue and can be hired for just the day time only which makes it perfect for a small and intimate wedding.
The White Hart Inn
Nestled on the edge of the Peak District hills, this venue is perfect for those wanting a high end country wedding feel. The food is gorgeous and the staff are very attentive and professional. It also has the most gorgeous outdoor seating area, large field for children and adults to play in, and a private garden area. It’s a fabulous venue for a summer wedding.
West Mill exclusive wedding venue
Love, love, love this venue! It’s unique (converted industrial mill), quirky with lots of character hinting at its industrial past. It is very private, meaning you and your wedding party have the whole venue to yourself for the whole day, without any interruptions. It’s also a photographers dream, with large windows, plenty of industrial chic and props to incorporate in your wedding photos.
