What’s your love story and how did you meet?
Geoff and I met at Sheffield Central Library. I worked there as a library assistant and Geoff ran a Writers Resource Centre every week for a writing organisation. We got talking and got on very well together. We were friends for a couple of years before we decided there was more there than friendship. We have now been together for about fourteen or fifteen years.
Tell us about the proposal?
There was no official proposal. We always intended to get married but were somewhat delayed by the pandemic and decided that this year would be the one when we would finally get hitched.
Why did you choose your venue?
We chose Sheffield Town Hall as we only wanted a small wedding and the Registry Office meant that we could do this.
We chose Wortley Hall because it is close to where we both live and we think it’s a beautiful place with a relaxed atmosphere.
What’s the style of your wedding?
Relaxed and informal.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Celebrating with family and friends at Wortley Hall.
