Lindy and Chris are the most laid back, friendly and fun couple I think I have ever met. Together with their  love of dogs, food and travelling we were well on the way to getting on like a house on fire! It was no surprise, therefore, that their wedding day centred around their loves.

Bridal prep started  at Lindys home just outside Chesterfield and I was flabbergasted at how relaxed she was still organising the food, which she made herself, and decorating the garden ready for the reception. Thankfully the dog themed wedding cake, made by the amazing Nikki at Sweet Tempation Cakes and the flowers arrived the night before.

Late morning saw the wedding cars arrive to take Lindy’s bridal party to Bakewell registry office in Derbyshire. Up until the day of the wedding it had rained almost non stop that week but as luck would have it the rained stopped on the wedding morning and we all basked in summer sunshine for the rest of the day.

The wedding ceremony was small, due to covid restrictions,  but prefect with lots of smiles, laughter and a few cheeky moments. Afterwards we grabbed some photos in Bakewell gardens before heading back to their garden for the party!

Lindy put a lot of effort into the food, drawing on her time spent in Spain to produce a fantastic buffet of paella, meatballs, fish and chips, salamis, cheeses and oodles of mini desserts! No one felt hungry afterwards that was for sure!

The day was incredibly relaxed and fun  which was mainly due to Lindy and Chris’s fantastic hosting skills and fabulous personalities. And, the best things about having a reception in your own garden, there’s no last orders or chucking out time so the celebrations went on until well into the small hours.

Congratulations  Lindy and Chris! Wishing you both a life time of happiness, fun and adventures together!
