Tamsin and James’ love story began across borders—she was based in Edinburgh, he in Bristol. The two met through work, and a solid friendship blossomed over the years before love truly took root. On Christmas Day 2021, while holding their daughter in one arm and juggling the festive chaos in the other, James presented Tamsin with a small box before they headed off to family dinner. Initially too busy to open it, Tamsin was gently encouraged by James—and inside was the proposal of a lifetime. The result? Tamsin and James knew they didn’t want a traditional wedding. After more than a decade together, their vision was clear: a relaxed, festival-style wedding where guests could truly unwind, and kids could run free. Set amidst a charming woodland, the day was all about celebrating love, supporting the local community, and creating an atmosphere where everyone could just be themselves.
From using dried eco-friendly palm leaf plates to hiring a local harpist and even getting their wedding rings handmade by Finn and Steel, the couple’s commitment to sustainability and locality was woven into every detail.
