At Sharon Trees Wedding Photography, we adore capturing love stories that feel genuine, spontaneous, and full of heart and Henry and Abbey’s journey is exactly that.
Their story began at a birthday party — Richard’s, to be exact. Richard happens to be Henry’s best friend, and Abbey was invited along by her own best friend, Natalie. From the moment they met, something just clicked. What started as a chance meeting quickly grew into a connection neither of them could ignore.
A Magical Proposal in Zakynthos
Fast forward a few years, and Henry planned the most romantic proposal while on a private boat in Zakynthos, an island close to Abbey's heart. With the ocean as their backdrop, Henry set up his phone to “record a video,” then dropped to one knee. Thinking he was posing for a photo, she accidentally sat on him! Luckily, the entire moment was captured on camera, creating a beautifully real memory they’ll never forget.
Rustic Charm and Personal Touches
When it came to planning their wedding, Henry and Abbey wanted a venue that felt intimate, relaxed, and full of character. They discovered a hidden countryside gem, at The Old Wheat Barn, that perfectly matched their rustic vision, cozy and charming.
Their theme embraced natural, earthy tones, with details that reflect their personalities and story. From handwritten vows to arriving in a tractor (a sweet nod to Abbey’s farming roots), every element was infused with meaning and joy.
Real, Candid Moments — Captured Naturally
Henry and Abbey first discovered Sharon and Mike’s work through a recommendation from a friend of the family. They were instantly drawn to the natural, storytelling approach, images filled with emotion, laughter, and those in between moments that make a wedding day truly unforgettable.
“We loved how Sharon and Mike captured real, candid moments, nothing staged or forced. We wanted that same authenticity for our day,” Abbey shared.
Their wedding was so beautiful to capture and a true reflection of who they are, heartfelt, down-to-earth, and full of laughter!
