Nestled on the edge of the legendary Sherwood Forest, this stunning venue was the perfect setting for Chaunsey and Greg’s relaxed summer wedding — full of laughter, personal touches, and countryside charm.

A Dream Barn Wedding at Hazel Gap Barn
Chaunsey and Greg had always envisioned a barn-style wedding that felt relaxed yet elegant. The moment they arrived at Hazel Gap Barn, they fell in love with its warm red brick walls, beautiful timber beams, and picturesque Nottinghamshire countryside views.
The couple added their own creative spin to the day with plenty of DIY wedding details — from handmade confetti cones and personalised décor to rustic wooden signage. Every element reflected their personality and made the day truly their own.
Morning Moments at Muthu Clumber Park Hotel
The day began at the lovely Muthu Clumber Park Hotel, where I joined Chaunsey and her bridesmaids for a morning filled with laughter, excitement, and a few happy tears. I always adore photographing these quiet, emotional moments — the calm before the big celebration begins.
Meanwhile, Greg and his groomsmen were enjoying a relaxed start to their morning, even sneaking in a quick session in the hotel spa before getting suited up.
One of my favourite moments was when the couple exchanged handwritten letters — a beautiful and emotional American wedding tradition that set such a heartfelt tone for the rest of the day.
A Beautiful Ceremony at Hazel Gap Barn
Hazel Gap Barn is one of my favourite wedding venues in Nottinghamshire for its natural light and rustic character. Chaunsey and Greg’s ceremony was full of emotion — with soft sunlight streaming through the windows, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
As Chaunsey walked down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The atmosphere was full of love, joy, and genuine connection — everything a wedding should be.
After the ceremony, guests poured out into the courtyard, glasses of Pimm’s in hand, to celebrate under the summer sunshine. The courtyard’s countryside views made the perfect backdrop for relaxed, candid wedding photos — my absolute favourite kind!
