Emma says, it might not sound like the most romantic meeting, but that night sparked a relationship that's lasted over nine amazing years. Together, we've built a life full of love, laughter, and beautiful memories – including our daughter Riley and my wonderful stepson Jack.
After seven years, a house move, and both of us landing our dream jobs, Rick finally popped the question – and I said yes! We've shared so much in our journey together; we drive each other crazy sometimes, but we truly are the perfect team. There’s no one else I’d rather share my life (and the chaos!) with.
The Proposal – A Real, Candid Moment
Our engagement was completely spontaneous – no fancy setup or planned photoshoot. Rick got down on one knee while I was cleaning out wardrobes! He hadn't even planned it, but something just clicked in that moment. The very next day, we went ring shopping together, and I got to choose a ring I absolutely love. It was raw, real, and completely us — a perfect memory to be captured by a Yorkshire documentary wedding photographer.

And for a bit of fun — I’ve surprised Rick with something silly! When we first got engaged, he joked about dressing as Bret "The Hitman" Hart. So I bought him a little pin badge to wear inside his suit jacket on the day. It’s the small things that make the best memories (and photos!).
