Wow — what a day! Hannah and Jack’s wedding was an absolute joy from start to finish. Set on Hannah’s grandparents’ farm in the Derbyshire countryside, this wedding had everything — rolling fields, proper belly-laughs, wild dancing, gorgeous dogs… and yes, a full four-seasons-in-one-day weather experience.
Rain or shine, this farm wedding was bursting with love, amazing local food and drink, and the kind of atmosphere you just can’t fake. The kind where everyone feels at home wellies and all.
From Tinder to “Forever”
Hannah and Jack’s love story is very much a sign of the times. Mutual friends tried to play matchmaker first (nice try), but it was Tinder that did the job properly. A shared love of farming sealed the deal, they moved in together just six months later, and the rest is history.
When you know, you know.
A Chatsworth Proposal (With Sheep Involved)
Jack, who works as Assistant Farm Manager at Chatsworth, had the proposal perfectly planned. One Saturday afternoon, he casually suggested they check on a sick sheep (as you do). As they pulled over, Jack hopped out, got down on one knee, and popped the question.
With Chatsworth House in the distance, their two border collies by their side, and the Derbyshire countryside all around them, Hannah said yes. They celebrated properly with champagne in the back of the pick-up truck — honestly, could it be more perfect?
A Wedding Close to the Heart
From the very beginning, Hannah knew she wanted a marquee wedding, relaxed, open and full of freedom. They chose the local church where her parents had married, keeping that beautiful family connection, before heading back to the farm for a marquee reception that felt completely private and totally them.
The best part? No rules. No rushing. Just a big countryside celebration exactly how they wanted it.
Wedding Style: Modern, Personal & Full of Farm Charm
There wasn’t a strict theme, but everything felt effortlessly clean, modern and authentic with just the right amount of farming flair.
Some of my favourite personal touches included:
A Young Farmers’ guard of honour as they left the church
Hand-drawn table name cards featuring their two dogs
A creative table plan showing different farm locations
Custom aprons handmade by Hannah for carving the evening’s roast beef
It was thoughtful, creative and completely unique.
The Moment They Were Most Excited For
After the vows were done and the nerves had settled, Hannah and Jack couldn’t wait to sit under the marquee, look around, and take it all in, seeing everyone they love together in one place.
That quiet, happy pause in the middle of the madness? Pure magic.
Wedding Planning Tip from Hannah & Jack
“Set up a wedding-specific email address as soon as you start planning.”
Simple. Genius. Life-saving.

These two were an absolute dream to photograph. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, it was all laughs, comfort and real moments, exactly how I want my couples to feel.
