Leanne and John's wedding day was a true highlight, offering me the opportunity to return to the stunning Mosborough Hall Hotel, one of South Yorkshire’s most historic and romantic wedding venues. Nestled in a charming 12th-century manor house, Mosborough Hall combines timeless elegance with modern luxury, perfectly situated just 15 minutes from Sheffield, Chesterfield, and the breathtaking Peak District National Park.
A Love Story That Started at Work
Leanne and John first met while working together at a large local sports retailer. Their friendship soon blossomed into something more, with their first official date taking place at what Leanne fondly describes as a “really cute little country pub.”
John, always the thoughtful partner, knew how much Leanne’s family meant to her. So on Christmas Day, surrounded by her loved ones, he proposed, a truly heartfelt moment that set the tone for their love story.
Bridal Prep at Mosborough Hall’s Elegant Suite
On the morning of their wedding, Leanne got ready in the luxurious bridal suite at Mosborough Hall Hotel, accompanied by her mum, four bridesmaids, and two adorable flower girls. The suite was full of excitement, laughter, and that unmistakable wedding morning buzz.
Meanwhile, John shared a pre-wedding drink at the stylish hotel bar with his dad, soon-to-be father-in-law, and his groomsmen. The views of the beautifully landscaped grounds offered the perfect setting for a moment of calm before the ceremony.
An Emotional Wedding Ceremony in a Historic Setting
The ceremony itself was filled with love, laughter, and just the right amount of tears. The flower girls and their sweet little page boy did an incredible job, adding to the charm of the moment. Every detail went smoothly, creating an atmosphere of pure joy.
Outdoor Celebrations & Fun Confetti Moments
Although the sun didn’t fully shine, that didn’t stop the guests from enjoying drinks in the stunning courtyard and gardens of Mosborough Hall. We had so much fun capturing a magical confetti walk, with handfuls of colourful confetti flying through the air, a moment the kids (and grown-ups!) absolutely loved.
A Night of Dancing, Laughter, and Emotional Memories
As the evening arrived, the energy only grew. The dance floor was alive with non-stop dancing, wild moves, and unforgettable antics. One particularly emotional highlight was the father-daughter dance between Leanne and her dad — a truly touching moment that had everyone in the room wiping away tears.
