Dominique and Michael’s story began at the legendary local event, the Haxey Hood, where they were introduced through mutual friends. Their first meeting? In the kitchen of Dominique’s friend’s mum’s house, where she was filling a rucksack with vodka and orange juice to avoid bar queues (genius). That down-to-earth, cheeky energy has carried through their entire love story.
The Proposal: A Home Full of Love
Michael’s proposal was simple, personal, and absolutely perfect. Just after they received the keys to their first home together, Dominique’s sister asked to take a photo outside the house. As she turned around, Michael was on one knee, holding flowers and a sign that read: “Will you marry me?”
