I’ve known Alex and her family for several years so when she asked me to be her wedding photographer is was a resounding yes, yes yes! They had a beautiful traditional spring wedding with their wonderful family and friends and not forgetting their adorable new baby son. The ceremony happened at their local church, St, James at Norton followed by an amazing reception as Mosborough Hall in Sheffield.

Alex and Callum’s love story

Callum and I met working at Waitrose, we were love at first pick and met over a shopping trolley!!! Cheeky kisses behind the delivery vans where no one could see and a first date at Longshaw we quickly became joined at the hip!

Tell us about your engagement?

Callum proposed during a hot tub weekend away Clumber Park, it was a wet day and we had been out for a walk and Sunday lunch. Callum was acting strange all day but I had no idea why. When we got back to the lodge I went in the shower as we got soaked on our walk. Next thing I knew he was rushing me to get ready and hurry up out of the shower. I threw some clothes on and he walked me backwards into the room with my eyes closed. I knew at this point he was up to something!! I turned around and opened by eyes to rose petals and candles everywhere. I said YES before he even had chance to say his whole speech!!!!

Why did you choose Mosborough Hall?

I entered a competition during lockdown through Bespoke Weddings not thinking anything of it. A couple of weeks later I got a call to let me know we had won our venue! We were yet to view Mosborough hall however once we looked round we loved it and got planning.

What was the theme of your wedding?

No specific theme however quite rustic and lots of bright spring flowers everywhere.

Is there anything special at your wedding that you’ve included and why?

We both have a passion for sport so our cupcakes are Sheffield Wednesday Football themed for Callum and for myself (Alex) tennis themed.

We also had a memory table for the loved ones that are no longer with us.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?

Every minute from getting ready with the bridal party and groomsmen, to marrying at the church, hearing the speeches that have been planned months and dancing the night away!! I don’t think there is anything we aren’t looking forward to.

Any future advice for Brides/Grooms planning their day?

Book all your suppliers well in advance if you want to get the best!

And, finally, why you chose Sharon Trees Photography to capture your day?

How could we not choose you!! Seeing other weddings you have captured, your friendly, crazy vibe we knew you would fit right in with our wedding party. And, that we have also worked together elsewhere in the past, we knew you were the perfect choice. You were the first thing we booked!!
