What’s your love story, how did you meet?
We met teaching at the same school, the students tried to match make us!
How did you get engaged/proposal?
We got engaged at Holmfirth Vineyard after a wine tasting tour, Matthew had planned to propose out in the vineyard but didn’t expect it to go dark so quickly so proposed back at the hotel. Charlotte didn’t believe him and thought he was doing his usual getting down on one knee and asking for a cup of tea!
Why did you choose your venue?
We wanted a more informal event, that lasted the full weekend, bring your own booze, so guests didn’t have to worry about money and could enjoy! We love that everyone can stay on site and not worry about taxis etc.
What’s the style/theme/vibe of your wedding?
Wedding weekend
Relaxed – street food
Live music, casino
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Charlotte’s – walking down the aisle with my dad
Matthew – the casino!!!! (typical!)
Any future advice for Brides/Grooms planning their day?
Enjoy it! Don’t rush, especially the guest list and invites as things can change.
